The same problem goes around for ages. I gave up 3Dconnexion support (also warranty support, twitter works better ;) )and created a script to be run in powershell. 3DConnexion service will restart. Create a shortcut and in destionation field insert command bellow. C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShe...

Almost same behavior here. Brand new, right out of the box Keys U, K and M not working except for a few moments. Tested on 3 notebooks, same behavior.
