3dxstd.dlu problem with Max 2010 and Space Explorer Pro
I am using the SE Pro in Win 7 64-bit, with Max 2010 SP1. Installed the latest software yesterday, v3-12-2_r1029, and the control panel refused to load in Max. Uninstalled and tried the previous release, v3-11-3_r955, and the control panel also refuse to load.. (I presume I downloaded this and didn'...

Solved the device disabling
I managed to solve the problem of the invisible controller. I ran DXDiag, found the deviceID in the "Input" section, then went through the HID Compliant devices in Device Manager until I found a match... then I just disabled it. So I just have the problem of the cheap, nasty, expensive con...

Two issues, one bad... one very bad
Well unfortunately, as much as I loathe this company for the way it treats customers, my business demands meant I had to upgrade to a SpaceExplorer from my TWO 4000FLX's. I'm now probably the only person with a simple SpaceExplorer that has effectively cost them over $1000 because of unsupported dev...

Uni, see here http://www.activewin.com/winxp/winxphclia64.txt, you will notice the 5000FLX and 4000FLX ARE compatible with XP 64 bit.

Spaceball 5000 driver is not supported on XP 64 or Vista. The Serial driver was written back in 2006 and never included support for the newer OS. The driver works fine on Vista, **********. Just because you sell an artist's input device, don't presume that some of us aren't professional software de...

You should be thankful...
Is the dev-team on holidays or what? I bought the Spacepilot Pro for 500€ (!) 4 weeks ago and couldn´t use it since. Think yourself lucky, you could be one of the ********** who bought 2 Spaceball 4000 FLX's @ £400+ EACH , only to be ********** by the company I gave the money to . So every time som...

Re: 4000 FLX Driver
Is there going to be a new driver for the 4000 FLX in SolidWorks any time soon? There doesn't need to be a new driver... the driver (which communicates between the device and windows) works fine. They are deliberately re-packaging the drivers to force you to upgrade. You can still use the drivers f...

Yes there is a way to make it work. Install the 2.8.2 software, this is the last version they claim works with the 4000FLX. Download the latest software (3-5-6) and extract the installer with winzip (or something similar) Run the installer but only select the Max 9 plugin, deselect everything else ....

Just to update and prove everything I said above... well actually, not quite. I accused 3D Con-nexion of leaving part of the software out of the drivers deliberately... in fact, to some extents, it is worse. First, I will openly apologise for accusing the driver writers of incompetence, it is quite ...

What this and many other posts have proven is that there is an incredible level of incompetence when it comes to driver updates with regards to certain devices. ( edit: see post below for an apology for accusing the developers of this issue ) Had the drivers been written properly then the interface ...

The serial SE came out after the 3DxWare driver stopped supporting serial devices. That's a classic statement... why would you release a device after the software stopped supporting that interface? You must be proud to be part of a software development team that abandons its customers... at least i...

Re: HELP!!! 4000FLX
3Dconnexion had such an action end of last year until March 2007. Unfortunately the action wasn't extended. That's not really surprising is it? I mean, why continue a deal that benefits the customer, when you can force them to upgrade for the full price? Tell you what, I'll send you both my 4000FLX...
