Under options/view check rotate around world axes. This creates an up bias. The rotate relative to view gives more freedom(more than you want). You may also want to uncheck allow tilt in the spaceball options.

Thanks, I also got this to work using Rhino's "swap pan and zoom" instead of using 3dconnexion's. Rhino's only swaps the pan and zoom.

Also, I can't find my config file. When I hover over the systray icon it displays user01.scg. I seached the computer for user01.scg with no results. I've found a rhinoceros.scg file, however, changes to it don't have any effect.

Yes, changing the zoom also changes the roll/spin. Is this right? I'd vastly prefer it if I could zoom with push/pull while still maintianing my above preference on roll/spin. Why does roll/spin change when one switches zoom/pan? I see that the axes can be remapped. Can I get a sample line for my pr...
