I can't focus on the fixit tool now but I'll have a look later.
The link seems to be obsolete but the fixit-tool for windows still exists and seems to address those kind of issues.

When I risk to update my drivers again, I'll definitely keep this in mind..

Well, the file in 3Ds stdplug folder "3dxstd.dlu" has been loaded the last time 41 minutes ago, just before I updated the driver.

The file itself has been created / changed on May 7th this year...

Maybe that gives some information.

Ah, if you open the menu while having a application open it lets you set profiles.
Obviously it still keeps my personal profiles eg. "mudbox"..
How do I import profiles then?
