Re: 3dConnexion problem

I haven’t been in desktop mode on that machine (new work laptop), as I believe the triggering key is on a device (Numpad Pro) I haven’t used with it. At any rate, I’ve copied Global.xml across a few versions, but 10.9.3 is the first one that did this. I’ll try out the desktop mode hooks i put in lat...

Re: 3dConnexion problem

I deleted my %appdata%\3Dconnexion and %localappdata%\3Dconnexion folders, then copied my old profiles back in, EXCEPT for Global.xml. Things are working now, so perhaps there was something in my old Global.xml files that caused this in 10.9.3, but not in 10.8.9. I did have a desktop mode mapping in...

Re: 3dConnexion problem

This issue returned, but this time with 10.9.3 and a new SpaceMouse Wireless Bluetooth Edition. The 3Dx systray indicates X2.EXE (AltiumDesigner.xml). My AltiumDesigner.xml has my custom radial menus and macros in it, but they aren't accessible in the UI, and neither are any application-specific fun...

Re: 3dConnexion problem

I don't recall what the systray icon idicated; the UI did say Altium Designer when that application was in the foreground. To reproduce, you would likely need to try the SpaceNavigator with 10.9.3. The problem occurred on two PCs. Note that I was using a Dell WD22TB4 docking station in both cases, s...

Re: 3dConnexion problem

Hi Jim - so far, I was just looking at Altium Designer. I installed 10.8.9, and that restored action choices in the UI for Altium Designer. I had to revert changes that I accidentally made to Global.xml, as the UI edited Global.xml while Altium Designer was recognized while I was using the SpaceNavi...

Re: 3dConnexion problem

So... "some devices" means that my SpaceNavigator with FW: 4.36 loses this ability. According to the FAQ, the '"Latest Windows Driver" is included in Extended Support for that device. I uninstalled 10.9.3, installed 10.8.9, and application-specific features are working now. https...

Re: 3dConnexion problem

I'm just now running into the application-specific issue. All of my customizations are no longer accessible, and there are no application-specific commands such as "App_ResetYourView". Has this issue been acknowledged by 3DConnexion?

Re: SpaceNavigator horizontal scrolling

Or, if you prefer, you can create the entire file from the entire code, and save it in the aforementioned location: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="no"?> <AppCfg xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" Default="false" C...

Re: SpaceNavigator horizontal scrolling

I have a KMJ profile for OneNote (%appdata%\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\Cfg\ONENOTE-KMJ.xml) that binds HIDMultiAxis_Ry to Shift+HIDMouse_Wheel. This is a workaround that functions for a few different Windows applications. You don't get proportional control with mouse wheel emulation, but it will scroll hor...

Re: With 3D resin printing becoming more popular will you ever support slicer software like CHITUBOX?

PrusaSlicer and its forks support 3Dconnexion devices. I don't know how much influence the CHITUBOX forum has on development, but there is a 5-yr-old thread on the subject here:

Re: Numpad Pro: Alt ASCII Character Codes in Win 11?

Yes, that is the proper procedure with a keyboard that has a numpad. TKL (tenkeyless) keyboards, such as the MX Keys Mini, do not have an integrated numpad. I prefer TKL keyboards, for ergonomic reasons, as they simultaneously allow my keyboard home row to be at the center of my desktop tray and the...

Re: DraftSight 2018

Please try the following to resolve your issue: First, make sure your SpaceMouse Compact and 3DxWare software are installed correctly and without any conflicts or errors. Second, try updating your 3DxWare software to the latest version. Sometimes, new versions of software fix some problems with old...

Re: How can using pan/zoom on MS power point & One note?

Update: Shift+MouseWheel Horizontal scrolling can be enabled in Windows for OneNote, using AutoHotkey. Additionally, one can also modify the ONENOTE-KMJ.xml file (which is created if the user modifies ONENOTE.EXE properties in 3DxWare) to assign an axis (such as Ry) to Shift+MouseWheel. https://foru...

Re: OneNote and PowerPoint

One more thing: I've found that I prefer the Dominant setting in 3DxWare for Mouse Wheel emulation. Diagonal scroll is otherwise a bit etch-a-sketchy.
