It would be great to have space mouse navigation with these tools.

PrusaSlicer and its forks support 3Dconnexion devices. I don't know how much influence the CHITUBOX forum has on development, but there is a 5-yr-old thread on the subject here:

They claim support here, but the forum was reporting that it only had zoom functionality.
