Thanks uludwig. That was what I needed.
I just had to re-load the 3DxInventor add-in and was able to permanently customize the buttons.

I am having trouble keeping my custom button configurations. I have the USB SpaceExplorer for using with Inventor 2011. My drivers and Inventor Service Packs are all up-to-date.
