which config files to backup before upgrade?

The buttons on both my SpacePilot Pro & my Spacemouse Wireless have stopped working. 3d Navigation works fine, but buttons do not.
I want to re-install the driver software to try to fix, but I fear losing all my many macros & radial menus.
Are there some configuration files I can or should back up before upgrading? The upgrade process should theoretically preserve these files, but a window that popped up makes me think I'll need to delete everything before re-installing from new, and if i do that, I'll have to spend HOURS recreating all my macros & radial menus.
Any help to avoid that would be appreciated.

Run '3Dconnexion Settings', click 'More >' and click 'Export Settings', be sure to tick 'Export Button Configuration ...' option to start custom configurations backup.
