Old Space Mouse USB and Photoshop

Post by JeanMontambeault »

A long time user, mine is one of the first models, discontinued but still a beauty. I use it in Blender just fine, even without a driver, even if it goes undetected accondingly to the Device manager (Windows 11). I'd like to use it with Photoshop, to pan and zoom. It would help with carpal syndrome. I tried 2.8.2, the latest I guess for that model. I also tried the latest driver which actually was effecting the mouse behavior too but only in Blender.
None of my efforts could result into having my mouse recognized by Photoshop 2022. Is there a known solution ?
Thank you for your time.

Invest on a new model like the SpaceMouse Wireless, so you have the latest driver available and get Photoshop supported, while the employees who develop and maintain the 3DxWare driver and plug-ins for third-party applications can receive salaries.

Even thought my old Spacemouse Navigator was still supported, I wanted something for the home office and was able to find a used Spacemouse Pro for only $120.00 on Ebay. It looks and works great......You could always go that route if you don't want to spend a ton on a new mouse.
-Spacemouse Pro
-Spacemouse Enterprise
-Keyboard Pro with Numpad
