Horizontal lock in Ue4 Broken in 3DxWare64_v10-8-5_r3424

Post by brianwilliamsjm »

Hello,

I don't know if it's just me, but after loading the new driver "3DxWare64_v10-8-5_r3424" and using my space mouse wireless in UE4.26.2. The horizontal lock doesn't seem to be working properly.

When I enable the horizontal lock it only locks in one axis it seems. Hence my view still leans but only in one axis. It's a bit hard to explain, but basically, the horizontal lock in UE4 is broken. I uninstalled the latest version and went back to the "3DxWare64_v10-8-3_r3389" and the horizontal lock works fine again.

NOTE: The latest 3DxWare64_v10-8-5_r3424 version works fine in 3DS MAX, I assume it will for other apps, but I have not tested it in other apps.

I am eagerly waiting a new driver for the spacemouse with the new UE5, so please please fix this issue for UE4 so we all can enjoy our awesome space mouse for all versions of Unreal Engine.

Thank you

Sorry for the late response but I just noticed this.

Yes, we introduced a bug in v. 10.8.5 that caused "horizon lock" to stop working as it should in the Unreal solution. We're tracking this as issue WIN-1021.

The bug is marked resolved in v. 10.8.7 of 3DxWare 10 for Windows and expected to be released by early April.
