SpacePilot and AutoCad 2009

Post by Cornelissen »

I just installed AutoCad 2009 (of the Inventor Suite), but with my SpacePilot the rotations do not work. However the translations do work. In other applications, as Inventor 2009, 3dsMax 2009 and Photoshop CS3, the rotations do work. I allready got the latest version of the add-in of AutoCad 2009 and re-installed the 3dConnection software. But still no translations in AutoCad. What can be the solution to solve this problem?

Open the 3dcontrol panel make sure you have translation enabled. Dominant should be unchecked.

Thanks for answering. These I allready had checked. In the meanwhile I find out that my problem is only there in the 2D-Wireframe view mode (3D workings space) in which rotating with SHIFT-mousewheel is posible. Still stange, but in Conceptual and Realistic view mode I can rotate.

Rotation only works in a 3D mode it will not work in 2D.
Change to a 3D view
View>Visual Styles> wireframe

Yes, That is what I noticed with my SpacePilot. But it is funny rotation is working with Shift-mousewheel in the 2D-view mode.
Anyway, thanks for reply!
