How do you setup the config button on space pilot?

Post by Juicegoose »

Well i've officially hijacked the forum i know but the instructions for this thing leave much to the imagination.
i've been trying to setup 2 menu screens for my spacepilot all day and can't get it right. Is there instructions some where on how to setup the config button?

Dear Juicegoose,

There is nothing to set up with the 'config' button. It merely rolls you through your current list of configurations. So if you make some custom configurations, this would be a convenient way to step through your configurations until you get to the one you want.

Well now i've gotten as far as the spacepilot scrolling through up to 4 screens. it's doesn't matter how many i have or if i create a screen it simply scrolls through 4 screens in the order it wants. Still i ask is this normal?

Configurations are context-sensitive.

Dear Juicegoose,

Configurations are context-sensitive; user, application, and application mode. So if a different user is signed in, he has his own set of configurations. If the user switches between applications, each of his applications will have a different set of configurations. And even within an application, different modes may have their own set of configurations.

So if you have a configuration made in a different context, you may not find it listed in your current context.

Sincerely,
Bryan

Dear Juicegoose,

If the drawing you open up is in a different mode, that would be correct.
