So I have all the latest Drivers. Like that it has the flow to point and seem to work well mostly.
Hate that I cannot change modes / speed or anything in Cinema 4d... only the 3dConnex setting tab on the MacOS settings app - AND the Sensitivity and Navigation settings are on separate tabs!! It's like the whole thing was designed in 1999 and then not touched... oh hold on...
BUT the worst thing is if you are using a Wacom tablet ( or mouse ) at the same time.... if you move the mouse/pen the 3dConnex jsut stutters - lift your pen or stop doing the mouse and it moves again.
The old implementation never had any issues with the mouse.

Re: Cinema 4D and a Wacom
Yup they released a thoroughly buggy implementation.
Re: Cinema 4D and a Wacom
There may be a driver conflict between the wacom tablet and 3dconnexion mouse.
Re: Cinema 4D and a Wacom
Other clients of us reported that Cinema 4D software has Input Devices options available such as Touch Support.
Please verify how that option is currently set in the Cinema 4D Preferences on your macOS.
You may want to get in touch with our Technical Support Team. Please visit https://3dconnexion.com/support/.

Re: Cinema 4D and a Wacom
I have this issue as well with the stuttering NDOF movement while in polygon/edge/point editing modes and hovering the cursor over the 3D viewport with a Wacom pen, I contacted 3Dconnexion tech support and I even contacted some of the Maxon devs about it. I believe it to be a conflict with the c4d UI highlighting selectable elements in the 3D viewport and the process that smoothly moves the view with the 3D mouse. It seems like they are both competing for the same thread/process resulting in stuttering. There was no apparent fix from either 3Dconnexion tech support nor Maxon.
My only semi-cruddy solution is to change the editing mode in c4d to “Model” aka NOT polygon/edge/point editing mode OR move the cursor away from the 3D viewport when doing NDOF moves, then the 3D mouse movement is fluid. My guess is that it is because the polygonal element highlighting is not active/changing states in this mode.
The team at c4d pointed back to 3Dconnexion for remediation, saying it was out of their hands for development. That sadly as far as I was able to get with it, then I just accepted it.
Meanwhile, the 3D mouse implementation in Blender sings across the whole UI…

Re: Cinema 4D and a Wacom
We are tracking the stuttering issue with polygon/edge/point editing modes internally. There hasn't been any fix, yet.
