Hibernation problem with space navigator PE

When the Navigator is plugged into the USB port my laptop will not "wake up" from hibernation. Some of the LEDs on the laptop light up and it appears to be trying to wake up but there seems to be no drive activity, that is, I do not hear the hard drive, the HD LED is not on or flashing and the screen remains blank. However as soon as I unplug the the Navigator from the USB port the wake up process begins as it should. This has happened a number of times. I've had the Navigator for less than a week and have installed the latest drivers from the web site.

My laptop has:

Amd Turion 64 X2, 4 GB ram with Vista 64

Hi AP,

Do you see problem only when returning the system from hibernation? Does the machine boot properly with a SN attached?
