spaceball 4000 unigraphics nx5

I am using a 4000 flx serial using AutoCAD 2000, 2006 / Solidworks 2008 / Unigraphics NX-2, NX-5. I am running Win XP Sp2 using 3dx ware 2.8.2 for everthing but running the 3.6.7 plug-in for Solidworks. Space ball works great for everthing am unable to make custom button commands work with NX-5. I can assign the commands to the buttons which work great in NX-2 but do nothing in NX-5. Any one had/solved this issue?

Dear mjones,

Combining 3DxSoftware 2.8.2 and 3.6.7 is not a supported configuration. Your having upgraded to NX-5, I would recommend you also upgrading to full 3DxSoftware 3.6.7 and a newer USB device.

Hey Bryan, I actually answered my own question. To make the buttons work with NX-5 I had to change the syntax a little and it works fine now.

Example for zoom to fit:

NX-2: <SHIFT>+<ALT> V O F
NX-5: <SHIFT>+<ALT>+V O F
