Display not updating in SolidWorks and Rhino

Post by mgibeault »

Hi all,
In both SolidWorks 2007 SP5 and Rhino 4 SR4 the display doesn't update when I select/unselect etc. objects with left mouse clicks after using my SpaceNavigator to change/rotate the view.
I see the objects/selection if I change the view using the mouse or a toolbar icon.
I have installed the latest 3dConnexion drivers, Windows XP x64, nVidia Quadro FX1700 with the 6.14.11.6961 drivers.

Thanks,

-Marc

Hi Marc,

Please try to calibrate your device (perhaps this article might help).

What happens if you move the object and stop the 3DxWare driver after movement is finished?

Hi Robert,

It seems to be well calibrated.
If I stop the driver, the screen doesn't refresh so my selection still only appears when I rotate the view with the mouse.

Thanks,

I am not sure if I understand what is going on on your machine.

You mean that selected objects disappear when you start moving around with your 3D mouse and do only reappear if you use your 2D mouse for a short move?

No they do not disappear. For example, normally in SolidWorks if I select an object in an assembly three it turns green in the viewport. But if the viewport was rotate with the 3d controller the object do not change when I selct in the assembly three.
It's not always happening but next time I see this problem I will record a movie and send it to you.

Thanks
