How repairable are CADMouse buttons?

Post by Kingbob »

My 4 year old CAD Mouse compact wireless left click has decided to start giving me multiple clicks with every left click. So i click to drag something, and end up opening it, or accidentally selecting tools i didnt want, or generally just being annoying. Its been used daily for 4 years so its not unexpected that the button would eventually decide to misbehave.

Has anyone tried to repair or replace the button, rather than shelling out a couple of hundred on a new mouse? I'd rather repair it than throw it out.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi!
Looking at a mark of the microswitch of cadmouse compact - Omron d2fc-f-7n(10m), obviously can say - yes, it can be replaced. The microswitch is available in EBAY or Amazon.

Exactly the same and there is something to tear your hair out when it opens documents or reduces or closes windows.
