I just bought a Wireless SpaceMouse and am really loving it but it doesn't seem to be happy when I turn it off to take a break!
When I turn it back on, it doesn't connect a lot of the time and I'm not sure what to do. Is the 3d Connexion control panel thing supposed to stay open in the corner when ever I use the SM?
The receiver is at the back of the PC and is around 2ft from the and the battery is fully charged.
Any help would be great!

Re: Newbie help please!
The 3Dconnexion control panel software should remain open and running in the background when you are using the SpaceMouse.

Is this the Bluetooth version of the SpaceMouse Wireless? If so, are you connected via Bluetooth or the USB dongle?
There is very little reason to turn the device's power switch off. It goes to sleep to conserve power very quickly. I would only turn it off if I was going to not use it for some weeks.
Even so, it should reconnect quickly after power on. Tech Support may be able to help if there is a problem there.
There is no reason to have the GUI displayed on the screen all the time. You can relaunch it any time from the systray icon. There is another process running in the background that is doing all the work. That, of course, needs to stay running.
