Spacepilot (OG) with Cinema 4D 2024 on Windows 11 - is this possible?

Post by Bar3nd »

Hi,

I've been using a Spacepilot since forever - however the last few years I've used a Spacemouse to occupy less desk space.

Now I'm trying revive the Spacepilot on a Windows 11 machine and it seems I'm stuck.

The recommended version of 3DXware for the (discontinued) Spacepilot is 10.4.10 - and when I install it the Spacemouse is recognized.

But it won't work with Cinema 4D 2024.

Upon further reading I understand I'd need 3DXware 10.8.something to work with C4D, but when I install 10.8.21 the Spacepilot is not recognized by the driver.

Here and there on this forum I read about hacks and copying plug-ins here or there - but nothing specific to this situation, so is anyone aware of a way to make this combination of hard- and software work?

Spacepilot (OG)
Windows 11
Cinema 4D 2024

Thanks for any pointers.

This isn't possible.

The SpacePilot is a legacy device. Please visit https://3dconnexion.com/support/faq/3dc ... d-devices/

Cinema 4D 2024 requires a Plugin Extension for support of 3Dconnexion hardware and software.
The change had been introduced with the release of Cinema 4D version 2023.2
