Touch ID Keyboard - CadMouse Compact Wireless

Post by toniclar »

I have a problem with the wireless connection on my CadMouse Compact Wireless. I have been having this problem with my keyboard with Touch ID for quite some time, however, now I seem to have identified the cause of my keyboard malfunctioning when I want to log into a web page so that it automatically enters my username and password to identify me.

When I have my CadMouse connected, the Touch ID on my keyboard takes too long to identify me, a few seconds, but very annoying. It identifies me and lets me enter the desired website, but it doesn't do it instantly as Touch ID normally works.

I have identified that this problem only appears when I have my CadMouse connected wirelessly. If I disconnect it and connect my MagicMouse, the Touch ID on my keyboard works instantly.

I am contacting you to see if you can solve this annoying problem. I understand that it is an interference problem with the Touch ID on my keyboard, which is somehow caused by CadMouse and is causing Touch ID to not work properly, causing the fingerprint identification to take longer than expected to identify me.

I don't really know who has to solve this problem, if it's a problem that Apple has to solve or if it's a problem exclusive to 3dconnexion.

I hope you can help me and that it is a simple configuration problem that can be solved.

Hi toniclar

Thank you for your post.
So you are using Apple magic keyboard with touch id?
Can you please share which version of our driver do you use?

We also tried to reproduce the problem on our site with iMac M3, macOS Sonoma 14.5, 3DxWare 10.8.4 and CadMouse Compact Wireless it worked fine.
Can you provide some more details about your hardware and software?
