Having this problem with Photoshop CC 22.5.1 and 3Dconnexion driver 10.8.3.3389.

This annoying dialouge appears every time I start Photoshop ALTHOUGH there is already a shortcut set for this command. The shortcut is even shown in the menu entry so it's there and everything should work.

But I just can't get rid of that redundant pop-up. Very annoying.

Funny, that this bug seems to exists for so long and 3Dconnexion having no interest in solving it. They even didn't reply to this thread which is a shame since this is the official support forum.

Can you explain what the shortcut is? Perhaps this will allow us to reproduce the problem (if we can't see, there's little hope of being able to do anything about it).

This is still a problem in 2024, and yes this bug has cropped up for me from time to time for me for over 15 YEARS now, lol. Must be some sort of record for a bug in often used software. The big problem is that it goes away for years, then returns. But I've narrowed down what it seems to be associated with, and that's installing a new Wacom driver. So only some versions of Wacom's software make this problem appear in the 3Dconnexion software ie its some sort of conflict between the two softwares. Maybe it contributes to the Wacom drivers being so sporadic sometimes for me also, I'd just put it down to widely experienced gltiches I see others having with Wacom. I'm currently on Windows 10, but started on Windows NT 15 years ago, and have always had a Wacom tablet, which I use a lot. On the verge of trying the Xencelabs tablet though.

I just noticed the question "Can you explain what the shortcut is? Perhaps this will allow us to reproduce the problem (if we can't see, there's little hope of being able to do anything about it)." from your tech support person about what the shortcut was. (BTW I'm running Photoshop 24.6, Windows 10 21H2, and the Wacom Driver is 6.4.6-2).

There is NO "shortcut" assigned to the 3DConnexion software in Photoshop, that is the problem, as starting Photoshop you are presented with a dialog box "No keyboard shortcut is assigned for 3Dxphotoshop Please set a shortcut key for the 3dxPhotoshop• plug-in by following these steps 1) Select the menu item Edit->Keyboard Shortcuts... 2) Expand menu File->Automate section 3) Enter a shortcut key for 3dnxPhotoshop• 4) Restart Photoshop" which you must solve before you can start using Photoshop. Assigning any shortcut key for me then gets rid of that dialog, and Photoshop works normally.

For me it is just a recurring inconvenience that happens sometimes when I install a new Wacom driver.

Since the Wacom drivers are a bit flakey for me, I do find myself needing to re-install them on a regular basis though, but doing so doesn't always trigger the 3dconnexion bug in Photoshop, as I observed the bug disappeared for years, and has now recently recurred with the latest Wacom driver.
