Spaceball 4000 FLX and Vista x64

Hey. I receieved a spaceball 4000 flx as a hand-me-down from one of my co-workers. I just built a new computer; OS is vista x64. I'd like to use this with Solidworks 2008. I did a search for a driver, but (expectedly so) came up with nothing.

Anyone know how I can get this thing working on my computer (IF i can get working on my computer that is)?

Spaceball 4000 are Legacy devices.
The drivers are no longer updated.

No drivers were made for Vista and the plugin in the available driver is not compatible with Solidworks 2008.

aw man; this makes me sad.

but I suppose it was to be expected.

Guess I'll have to spend an arm & a leg on a new one.
