i recently bought the cadmouse pro wireless, i bought he cadmouse because it was the only 3 button mouse i could find that wasn't obvious manufactured waste (seems like this might still be true for the cad mouse pro wireless). i have had the mouse for a couple months now and have been unable to get things to work properly, hopefully people here can help me understand this better.
problems i am having:
1. is the software truely so awful that i can't just change the base button settings? all i want is to put shift and ctrl on the side buttons for everything on my computer. as far as i can tell this is not possible, i have to individually reprogram the buttons for every program/window on my pc. if your not aware this can be difficult in windows some programs always on top issues, getting some programs out of always on top is quite difficult the problem here is that when you open the mouse software it minimizes the always on top program leaving the cadmouse software unable to program the buttons for that program/window. even more fun is that on of the side buttons natural function is just a ''backpage'' so if you accidentally press it while working in a browser you just lose everything.
2. this mouse has the worst scroll wheel i have ever seen on any mouse. on it lowest setting it scrolls more than a full page on every program or browse that i use. i usually have to either click an drag scroll bar on the sides of screens or do the stupid click the middle mouse button and hold the mouse in a specific position to maintain a slight scroll while making sure to find a blank screen space on the web page first to prevent accidentally opening n tabs. hopefully im just missing something and there is a way to change this setting lower.
3. and finally the range on he mouse seems absolutely awful. i am disable and have to work from my bed my pc is on top of desk 3 feet away from my bed at the worst my mouse is 6 ft away from the dongle plugged into the front of my pc. i'm constantly losing connection to the mouse for small intervals second or two at time causing a 100% loss of accuracy. it seems that you must have direct line of sight with the dongle for it to have a chance at working. i originally had the dongle plugged into a port on the back of my pc these problems were much worse then.
i bought this mouse because it was the best looking 3 button mouse on the market (there are almost none), i tried to research thoroughly before purchase. went through many videos and written reviews these issues never came up in any of them. if anyone can help with any of these issues i would be extremely grateful i have very little money and wont be able to get a new mouse for a long time. currently very disapointed feeling like i just bought an expensive piece of garbage.
how to get the cadmouse to not feel awful?

Re: how to get the cadmouse to not feel awful?
i managed to get the scroll wheel working by updating to the latest driver. apparently the scroll by line wasn't working on the previous driver it was scrolling something like 500+ lines no matter what i set it to

I think you should try using a third party remapping tool like noc X mouse button control which will allow you to override the CadMouse software
