Is this intended behaviour?

I have a Spaceball 5000 (recognized as Spaceball 4000 FLX in Device Manager) connected to a Windows 7 64bit Machine (via COM Port). 3DxWare 2.8.2 recognizes it but there is still an exclamation mark on the device in Device Manager. Is this intended behaviour?
