My partner has a spacemouse pro, and has recently been trying to use it on Revit at home to be able to meet some deadlines. It doesn't work at all in Windows 11 - the blue ring light turns on, but thats about it. if I reset it by holding keys 1 and 2 while plugging it in for 10=15 seconds, sometimes it resets, I never get it to work, but it shows up, usually throws a device not recognized or a driver error, on the latest software downloaded from 3dx website. (always plugged into a port directly on rear of computer on I/O shield, no hubs), demo wouldn't work and get the "no 3dconnexon devices found" or something in the settings
I decided to try it on my M2 Mac Studio, installed the driver, no issues. It says it was firmware 4.2 or something, I thought, maybe a firmware update would resolve, after spending quote some time researching how to do this (on Mac there is only software update and calibrate where you find the firmware version) I found a link to download tdxflash 141, but I cannot find what firmware version is current for spacemouse pro, and the read me states the DFU is only for:
3Dconnexion product types:
- CadMouse (wired)
- CadMouse Compact Wireless
- CadMouse Pro Wireless
- CadMouse Pro Wireless Left
- CadMouse Wireless
- Keyboard Pro (Windows only)
- Numpad Pro (Windows only)
- SpaceMouse Enterprise
- SpaceMouse Wireless
- SpaceMouse Wireless Bluetooth Edition
- SpaceMouse Pro Wireless Bluetooth Edition
- Universal Receiver (firmware v. 1.0x and older is Windows only)
I had a video of it working on Mac and screenshots from windows but 256KiB is quite small and doubtful they'd be useful, if anyone needs the exact wording, let me know.
Any ideas how to fix a working spacemouse pro on Mac but not in windows?
PS the link in this post is broken, and it is locked so I can't call it out: https://forum.3dconnexion.com/viewtopic.php?t=1706
