Petition to expand software support for macOS!

Post by llealloo »

Hello, just going to throw this out there with nothing but good intentions! I feel like the macOS userbase is left a little behind in software features & functionality compared to Windows for the SpaceMouse line of products.

Please feel free to sign this petition so we can show 3Dconnexion that the mac userbase is alive and strong! I think if there were better software support (especially system-wide), a lot more people would be actively purchasing & using the hardware and the community would grow exponentially- which would be a benefit to all.

Hear, hear.

First-time forum poster, here. I registered because I wanted to sound off on this thread.

I've used my SpaceMouse Pro Wireless on Windows with relatively few issues; but after having switched to Mac I'm getting a slew of issues.

From no 8-item radial menus to unpredictable button mappings & Radial menus in Fusion 360... The driver just does not seem to have gotten the developer attention it requires.

3Dconnexion - will you please hire a talented Mac developer to overhaul the SpaceMouse driver? :)

Thanks for supporting the petition! SpaceMouse is such a beautiful device with loads of functionality for creators & users of all kinds.

Maybe there are fewer resources allocated to macOS development at 3Dconnexion because the user-base over the last decade has been primarily CAD focused? Though, there are so many creative professionals using macOS for work that would find a lot of benefit from the SpaceMouse products if it simply had more functionality- I think it would expand the user-base considerably!

Here's to hoping they get the message and start putting more eggs in the macOS basket <3
