USB dongle loses connection after wake from sleep

I have a spacemouse wireless and cadmouse wireless connected with a USB dongle on my Lenovo P16 running Windows 10 64 bit enterprise. Everything works fine, but if I put the laptop to sleep, the mouse and spacemouse do not reconnect after the computer wakes. Turning off and on the mice doesn't help, nor does switching to bluetooth and back again. I have to either hard reboot the computer or unplug and replug the dongle from the USB port. Does anyone know a way to fix this? I use this laptop mainly as a desktop replacement. It's pretty annoying to have to do this every time I come back to the office after the computer has gone to sleep.

Probably it's by design for security reason.

Honestly that seems pretty silly to me.

USB driver service is an example of what u sholdn't do.

Same problem here with Spacemouse enterprise USB (not wireless). Just restart 3Dconnexion drivers.

Look around. Tons of the same. And for ages.

Create a shortcut with this command:

C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe -command "& 'C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxWinCore\3DxService.exe' -quiet -shutdown |Wait-Process; & 'C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxWinCore\3DxService.exe'"
