spacepilot pro keeps disconneting

hi, i just got a space pilot pro as a present from a friend and it worked fine for a few days until it suddenly started to disconnect and connect all the time. when it doesn't do that it just stays on the booting screen with the logo and it's completly unresponsive. Any help would be much appreciated.
