What exactly are you doing with your SpaceMouse in the 3Dconnexion Home menu?
What software are you using and what would you to do with the SpaceMouse?
In 3DConnexion Home app I have been able to practice mouse controls and they work well. I remembered that I could use the SpaceMouse Compact as normal mouse in Finder etc with earlier MacOS version -- did I remember this wrong?

I would mainly need to use SpaceMouse in Shapr3D. However, I just noticed that there is an update for that app available and it would improve the compatibility. Need to check with that, thank you.

In my case, it's not just “at all”—it's a much stranger situation.

SpacePilot Pro (Firmware 4.11)
macOS 26.1 on Mac Studio Ultra (M1)
3DxMacCore Version 1.4.1.593(593)
3DxWare Version 10.8.10 (3884)

After booting macOS, it only works in the first compatible application I launch.
When I launch a second application, the first one that was working stops responding too.
I tested with the official Puzzle app, the official Viewer, Autodesk Fusion, etc., but the above pattern remains unchanged.
Even unplugging and replugging the USB cable doesn't fix it.
I have to restart and then carefully use only one application at a time.

Thinking the SpacePilot Pro being discontinued might be the cause, I downgraded 3DxWare to Version 10.4, but the situation did not improve.

I do not recall similar reports. You appear to have an isolated issue, meaning that there is likely something else on your system that is triggering this behaviour. Some device management or security solution can interfere with connected devices.

That is the expected behaviour with the SpacePilot Pro being a discontinued device.
The SpacePilot Pro hasn't been tested after the release of 3DxWare 10.6.4 for macOS.
We recommend upgrading to a new SpaceMouse.

Thanks for all replies. I'll go ahead and replace it with a Space Mouse Wireless.

I just bought the spacemouse Bluetooth and it all works in Tahoe and much better in Sequoia. It actually works a lot better in cinema 4d. before I was having issues with my Wacom... if I was hovering my pen then then the spacemouse would lock up till I raised it off. This is no the case now.

And the space pilot Pro came out in 2009! I think I got mine in about 2014.
It was fully supported till 2019 but has worked up till now.

I don't have a problem with planned obsolescence with these. 3D connexion need to make money right. And it's lasted a hell of long time ( I've been though 5 Wacoms! )

Just means I the ebay listing has to state its only works up to sequoia.

The issue with these is that you relate new models and other go but we don't have a clue how long they might be supported in OS.

SpaceMouse Enterprise: 2016 (first announced at Solid Edge University 2016)

SpaceMouse Pro: 2012 (exact month not published, but widely available by late 2012)

SpaceMouse Pro Wireless (2.4 GHz): 2013 (announced July 2013)

SpaceMouse Pro Wireless (Bluetooth Edition): 2023 (announced November 2023)

SpaceMouse Wireless (2.4 GHz): 2013 (announced October 2013)

SpaceMouse Wireless (Bluetooth Edition): 2024 (announced May 2024)

SpaceMouse Compact: 2014 (introduced as entry-level model, exact month not published)

It's difficult make predictions far ahead but 3Dconnexion has an FAQ article with the "last day of extended support".
