I recently got a space mouse for myself and I love it for navigating maya it's great its wonderful I love it.
BUT
I have already noticed a significant lack of features that I think should be added right away.

3Dconnexion settings UI
Right away this is in desperate need of a overhaul. It works but it needs more.
-For such a expensive piece of hardware the program for it while I love it automatically changing profiles based on the active application is great the program itself feels annoying to use.
-No direct shortcut to appdata files???

Button customization
-I want to be able to adjust how long a button needs to be held to be considered a "long press" vs a short.
-Customizing the buttons itself is a chore, having to scroll through this tiny list to find what I want I should be able to resize the ui to fit my needs.
-Customizing premade wheels, and views I should be able to see some more settings regarding alot of these buttons maybe I want a list instead of a custom wheel.

Mouse customization
This is what made me scratch my head the most.
-On the web you can vertical scroll but no Horizontal???? How about a zoom that would be great
-I understand this is 6Dof but it it not possible to set it up to as a direct input as well? I could understand it being exclusive but nothing at all?
-Yeah its a piece of hardware specific to a keyboard but it doesn't have to just be limited to that. Maybe I want to use it as a joystick to move around I don't know.
-Maybe I want to change how it works with specific programs in general. Twist to zoom tilts to rotate around a object like it does in maya?

For such an expensive piece of hardware the app is really weak.
