Hardware/software:
Brand new basic bluetooth spacemouse puck bought on Black Friday, updated with current driver on Windows. I used one a few years ago at a different job, so I'm not completely unfamiliar with it. We use PTC Creo at work. (I know, I know, feel pity for me.)
Problem:
Gently bumping my desk vibrates the cap enough to shake my model.
Reaching to touch the side buttons moves the cap enough to move my model.
I've even had it start drifting when I'm not touching the puck. That's too sensitive at zero.
Current workaround:
I have my speeds set pretty low, so the tiny movements don't really affect me, but that makes it annoyingly slow to rotate anything more than 45 degrees, or pan when I'm zoomed in.
Request:
I'd like a deadband so that the tiny bumps don't affect the model. Then I can crank up the speeds to move around with efficiency.
Or
Another potential solution would be adjustable sensitivity. Then I could make the low end veerrryyy low, and crank up the high end to achieve virtually the same thing.
Request for deadband or progressive sensitivity
