Cinema 4D 26 not being recognised by driver

Post by prowlmedia »

So I finally upgraded from a Space Pilot to the Space Mouse Pro BT on the hope that I can finally use Tahoe and cinema 4d 2026 ( Sequoia and 26 are working )

The driver is working in Tahoe ( worked and BT ) but it will not work in cinema 4d 2026.
The Driver does not switch.
I can swap to it manually in the driver and nothing happens.
I don't get the Motion Modes or anything in the driver window.
I can add the App manually and nothing happens.

Mac Pro 2019 Intel
Tahoe 26.3
Cinema 4d 2026.1.2

Why is this always such hard work?

Oh and I tried 2026.0 2026.1 and even the last 2025

This a completely clean new install on a new drive ( so I can flip back to sequoia at least - but I paid for this to work )

So I have worked it out.

The driver plugin was being installed onto my Sequoia Drive NOT the Tahoe drive. It had found C4D and installed it there then ignored the actual User / OS Drive that was logged in and active! So a 3d connexion installer screw up.

Edge case sure, but I got it to work by installing the .xlib plug in and manually copying it from C4D 2026 on the Sequoia drive to the Tahoe drive.
