Has 3dconnexion been successfully connected to the desk top version of Light Tracer lighttracer.org. If so how can I get the other axis other than zoom in and out to work.

If an application is not listed under All Supported Applications - https://3dconnexion.com/supported-software/, this application likely has no support for 3D mice yet.
