"3dConnexionsHelper % CPU" ??

Just shifted from an old PC to the newest Mac
M5 Max
Tahoe 26.4.1
our company runs Fusion ...

3DConnexions Wireless Spacemouse Pro and wireless CadMouse Pro
according to 3DxWare 10 "check update" ... I am running latest version

i've noticed the fans running even on simple-ish tasks ...
so did some monitoring of the Activity Monitor

my issue is that 3dConnexionsHelper is consuming a huge amount of CPU time
300%
is this possible?
is this normal?
