hey,
Using my SpaceMouse mostly with SolidWorks and Blender for a CAD portfolio I’m building. Before it was pretty stable, but lately I get small viewport jumps and sometimes a bit of lag when switching scenes. This started after updating the 3Dconnexion driver and also changing the USB port on my docking setup. Feels like the software profiles don’t always switch properly depending on the active app. I’m not deep into the settings side, just trying to keep a smooth setup for work and portfolio use. Anyone seen this kind of behaviour and managed to stabilise it?

Hi domfeh
which SpaceMouse do you use and what kind of docking station do you have?

Re: SpaceMouse odd behaviour after update
Hi,
I'm using a SpaceMouse Compact with a USB-C docking station. The issues started after updating the 3Dconnexion driver and moving the receiver to a different port on the dock. Before that, everything was pretty smooth. What makes it confusing is that the app-specific profiles don't always seem to switch correctly between SolidWorks and Blender, which is when I notice those small jumps and occasional lag. Since I'm mainly using the setup to build a CAD portfolio, I'm trying to keep things stable rather than constantly tweaking settings.
Funny enough, I was talking about workflow reliability with an headhunter recently, and it made me realize how much little hardware quirks can affect productivity. Have you seen similar behaviour with a dock? I'm wondering if going back to a direct USB connection or reinstalling the driver profiles would help.
