AutoCAD 2008 SpaceNaviagtor aborts Commands

Post by Micky Stonie »

Hello,

I have a problem with AutoCAD and the SpaceNavigator. We use self-programmend lisp-scripts, and everytime I use one of those commands and try to use my Space Navigator the command will be aborted.

With "normal" AutoCAD commands I don't have this issue.

Does someone have a clue what the problem is?

Thanks in advance,

Micky

SpaceNavigator aborts Commands in AutoCAD 2008?

Post by Bryan »

Dear Micky Stonie,

When does the command abort?

Anytime after installing the drivers?
---
or when executing the command from a SpaceNavigator Button?
---
or after starting the command:

When you use the movement knob on the SpaceNavigator?
or
When use a button on the SpaceNavigator?
---

What release of 3DxSoftware?
What operating system?

Hello Bryan,

thanks for your answer.

The command aborts after starting it when I use the movement knob on the SpaceNaviagtor.

Release Version is 3.6.8 .

My operating System is Windows XP Professional.

Thanks again,

Micky

Hi Micky,

The the motion sensor checks which commands are running when it starts to move. It appears that the command hasn't a name that the plug-in can check and gets aborted. Could you send me a sample command where thsi happens.

We can reproduce: This will be fixed in one of the next 3dxsoftware releases.

Bentley AutoPlant doesn't include 3Dmice in their applicatio

Post by Bryan »

Dear klauzer,

I don't find Bentley AutoPlant listed as an application that yet makes use of our devices. So, it is not surprizing that you're not finding any reaction to our device in their application.

Sincerely,
Bryan

Autoplant runs inside of Autocad. It is just an Autocad issue. I use prosteel inside of Autocad - its the same as Autoplant structural.
Make sure the 3dxautocad.arx is loaded under tools > load application

Thanks Bandito. But I don´t have any "load application" in "Tools". You mean in 3DconnexionControlPanel?

Ok, I found it. Of course it was in AutoCad that LOAD APPLICATION was.
Thanks Bandito.
