SpaceMouse in Blender

Post by Halcon »

Hello,

I'm using a SpaceMouse Plus USB and want to use it in Blender.
I downloaded the version which is linked to here:
viewtopic.php?p=12363&sid=df40b88217559 ... 7c88c98137 and put the plugin in the acording folder.
But now it says in the command-line-Windows:

3Dconnexion main COM instane: 00000000
3Dconnexion device initialization NOTsuccessful

What does that mean? In other applications it works.

BTW: I'm using WindowsXP 32bit, and the MS C++ Redistributable.... is installed.

I know by now our drivers and software versions should be different, but since I wasn't allowed (rolling eyes) to create a new topic I am posting here (I hope it'll work).
My specs:
WinXP Pro 2002, SP3
Blender 2.5.2 (latest)
SN PE, 3.6.11

My problem is that SN doesn't work at all with Blender. It does with 3dsMax 2009 though.

I have
1. Uninstalled the driver and installed it back
2. And unplug the USB connector, hold down both buttons on the SN, and plug the connector back in, and nothing!
I chose Custom installation and I noticed that there was no plugin for Blender in the list of plugins. I wonder if this is normal.

Any ideas?

THanks in advance,

Javier

You have to download and install the blender plugin.
http://www.3dconnexion.com/solutions/blender.php
Save the file
after download completes open the zip file
there is a readme file with instructions on how to install the plugin in the correct folder path.
