spacball 4000 flx

hope this is right area for postin this message

Hi there, trying to get my spaceball 4000 flx up and running again, dont have the driver for it and downloading from 3d connection doesnt seem to work,
I have a serial connection on spaceball with an adaptor cable to usb on computer will this adaptor cable prevent driver from working?

Spaceball 4000 is not supported using a Serial to usb connector.
Driver only detects a serial device.

if reboot doesnt work is this spaceball kaput for my pc?

trying to run solidworks

shall I have to dig deep into my deep pocket with me short arms and purcahse new one?

Spaceball 4000 support ended a year ago.
The last driver made was before 2008 came out so it will not work in newer releases.
If you check the website www.3dconnexion.com
On the lower left screen there is a link for upgrades
You can fill out the form and someone will send you information on what the trade-in is worth off the price of a Spacepilot or Space explorer.

Hi Fred,

can the spaceexplorer be bought in New york anywhere and cheaply, just happens my wife is there at the moment shopping with friends, staying at a hotel near central park would it be suitable for UK market?

She would have to check the local resellers in NewYork.
