The fact that we don't even get offered a beta version of the driver stings. Come on guys, give us the beta drivers!

Years ago, we were given beta drivers when there were problems. It sucks that the company has become this way, and seemingly disregards the voices of the customers.

I have eight people using max 2010 in my office. All have Navigators. All of us cursing 3DConnexion at the moment.

@RobH, I've had to bin devices from them when they have dropped support. I daren't ask about Windows 7 drivers, for fear that I'll have to bin yet another expensive device that has become useless.

You guys are unbelievable, I am not posting this to troll or start an arguement, but have you ever considered the developers side of it from a business standpoint? Consider this, if they give you/us beta drivers that could potentially have serious side effects, crashing too often, maybe losing your valuable unsaved work, or worse. Then you would all complain about that and want to throw the device away because the drivers the community "forced" to deliver were s****y and never should have been released. It's funny that most of you seem to be well aquainted with this 3d device well before 3dsMax 2010 so maybe you should consider going back to the previouse release (if possible) until something is ready.

For the 3D production workplace to require so much patience there are a lot of people on here without any.

Note: this is not to offend anyone and I apologize if I do.

3DS Max 2010

Hello,

Any updates on new projected release date for the 2010 driver? I have been checking everyday for the last two weeks. I can't use my beloved Space Pilot  It's been frustrating not be able to navigate 3D world without it. I understand thet the technicians are working on it but just give us a projected release date?

Hi,

A word on 3ds Max 2010 support.

The software is now in the final stage of qualification. It will be a matter of days before it is available for download at 3Dconnexion.com.

We sincerely regret the delay and the inconvenience this is causing to our customers.

Yes, thanks for letting us know. Not hearing anything causes anxiety. Just a simple 'timely' communication, whether the news is good or bad, can make all the difference.

Thank you very much for the updated news! It's good to know the company is looking into these forums and feeding the hungry lions, I mean customers.

Much appreciated!

I guess it's just a matter of a few more days!
days = weeks
A very poor driver development time frame in my opinion.
I know times are tight, but how about hiring some help to get these driver issues resolved.
Oh, and I'm not saying this to offend anyone.

... or even offer beta versions of the drivers when there are requests from paying customers.

Thank you for the info in this thread.. I can see that I am not the only one waiting to be able to use my old SpacePilot with my new "Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2010 64-bit" :)
