Photoshop not working??

Post by iBrews »

Hello all,

You may notice my previous post where I was able to get my Spaceball 5000 Serial working with current applications by keeping the older driver but installing the latest software. Well I now qualify that statement by saying everything EXCEPT Photoshop.

When I open Photoshop CS4 (or CS3) I get a message saying I need to assign 3dxWare a shortcut. So I do, and yet whenever I use the shortcut or click directly on the plug-in link under 'File', 'Automate', nothing happens. I press all the buttons on my Spaceball, move the controller, try 3d layers, try 2d layers, try brushes, and it's clear that the program is not reading the Spaceball.

Has anyone else had problems with Photoshop, or have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks!
-Alex

I'm wondering now if I can use the same or a similar trick to get my Spaceball 5000 to work with PhotoShop CS5.

You know, it would really suck if keyboard and mouse drivers would stop working with new programs after only 3 years.... and those are much cheaper pieces of equipment!!!!!
