Scrolling through configurations + more questions

Post by Minty »

Hey, I have some questions about the SpacePilot. When I'm in a program, I can make different configurations for what each of the 6 buttons across the top will do. Pressing the config button will scroll through them, config 1, config 2, config 3, ect, is there any way to scroll backwards? Or is there anyway I can make a hot key to jump right to a desired configuration?

Also, this SpacePilot is being used on a network where the users log out, or lock their computers often. Is there any way to get the spacepilot to turn off everytime the computer is locked/logged off, and turn on every time it is unlocked/logged on? It's not a huge deal, but at night, most people log out instead of shutdown, so the SP will have it's LED and LCD display on all night, and when people lock there computer, you can still use the functions on the SP.

Thanks.

Dear Minty,

Normally users don't have an accessive number of configurations, so normally just a couple of quick key presses will bring you to the next configuration you're wanting to use. So there is no way to scroll backwards nor hot keys to jump to a particular configuration. For most users that would actually introduce greater complexity than just moving forward through a couple of configurations.

There's no automated feature to stop the drivers when you lock the operating system. You would need to stop the drivers manually when you lock your system and then re-start them after unlocking your system. (Start, All Programs, 3Dconnexion, 3Dconnextion 3DxWare)

Sincerely,
