Spaceball 5000 USB

Post by lslebodnik »

I am trying to get these things to work with Windows XP sp3 and Autodesk Inventor 11 SP4. If I install the drivers (3-7-16) the spaceball works fine until I install Inventor. Then the spaceball does not work in Inventor or even in the tests (chicken. jet, etc.) I have jumped through every hoop I could find including complete un-install and re-install and verifying that they device is recognized (It is). I have held down buttons and tried every USB port on the machine. No matter what is just will not work correctly. This is on Dell OPtiplex 670, 690 and T5500 workstations.

Perform a clean install:

Before installing the 3d driver install Inventor.
Then install the 3dconnexion driver.

I have done that clean install thing at least 4 times on different machines. It doesn't fix anything.

Hi Islebodnik,

did you try the latest version of 3DxSoftware (version 3.7.18 )? It was released 10 days ago.
