Autocad 2010 and SpaceNavigator selection issue

Post by tudor »

Hello,
I use Autocad 2010 with SpaceNavigator and I have run into the following issue:
-I select an object - line, polyline, block, whatever
-I then want to add another object to my selection, but this one is not in my current view
-I navigate with the SpaceNavigator (zoom, pan) to get to this second object
-the first object I selected is not selected anymore.
Somehow the SpNav actions cancels the current selection. This behaviour doesn't happen in 3dsMax, for example, but I guess the API is not the same.
Drivers & software are up2date, both for SpaceNavigator and Autocad.

Thank you for any input you might have on this matter,

Tudor

Hello,

I know this is an old issue, but I installed the latest driver for AutoCAD 2010 today and this problem still occurs.

Is there no attempt from 3Dconnexion to fix this issue which makes it very hard for me using AutoCAD 2010?

An answer/help would be highly appreciated,

Hello all other users,

I got mail today. This bug has a number. Great.
But nobody has solved it yet. Must be a very big problem that finding a solution takes almost a year already.

"I hope that they fix it soon" sounds a bit ironic, however, hope is the last to die.
