Rotating in Photoshop CS4

Post by MichaelGurevich »

Hi,

I just purchased a SpaceNavigator and would like to use the rotate function in Photoshop. Can you please tell me how this can be done? Do I need to define some macro? And, what is a macro? What can it do?

Thank you,
Mike

Hi Mike,

there is currently no possibility to rotate the view with the 3D mouse. If you know a shortcut you could create a macro and map this macro to one of the device's buttons.

Thank you Uta!

Can you please tell me if it's possible to map key presses to directions of the SpaceNavigator?

It would be great if a key press could be mapped, and the frequency of it's repetition would increase as the value of the movement increases.

Cheers,
Mike

Nice idea! But the current driver does not provide this possibility. Sorry.

Is there a way to ask to include this in future updates?

It could make the products more valuable to the customers.

Thank you,
Mike

Excellent! I will stay tuned..

Speaking of tuning... do you happen to know if these devices might be able to send MIDI information somehow? They could be interesting music controllers...

Thanks,
Mike
