I have no idea. The SpaceExplorer serial has never been supported on Windows.

The software we used is superscape 3D Webmaster which support driver for magellan space mouse. So we don't have to install driver for Logitech magellan space mouse driver but just connect the spacemouse to serial port.

Can we just do the same way for SpaceExplorer ? I mean whether the protocal isupported by the SpaceExplorer is the same as the old Logitech magellan space mouse ?

(We don't install the Magellan Spacemouse software as it will causes problems with 3D Webmaster's own driver for the Spacemouse.)

Hi pachingo,

the SpaceMouse had different protocols, but if you compare the protocol of the latest model (i.e. SpaceMouse Plus) the protocol is very similar, but not the same. The SpaceExplorer has more buttons thus the length of a button package is different. Of course the version string is different.

I am pretty sure that it is necessary to adapt the software to the new device. You will most likely not be able to use the device with superscape without any modification in the software.
