I use my SpacePilot with MAX2010_64.
I have a config setup that I call 'Right-Hand Rest'. It is designed to give my right hand (particularly my index mouse trigger finger) a rest by having the Left Mouse Click and Right Mouse Click as a programmed button on the SpacePilot.
Only the programmable buttons on top or the ESC, SHIFT, etc. buttons are robust enough to handle constant clicking. (The T,F, L, R, etc. buttons are too flimsy and give erratic Left clicks when used).
Problem is, in this config, the SpacePilot knob is in the way and I can't relax my Left hand and let it rest on the knob because it will start moving cameras, viewports, etc. I know I can use 'Suspend Motion' to disable the knob... but it's a huge hassle to have to drill down into settings to do this when in other configs, I want to use the knob.
I would like to be able to disable the knob in a config. So that when I switch to the particular config... the knob is disabled. When I switch to another config, the knob is enabled again. There doesn't even seem to be a way to program one of the buttons to 'Suspend Motion'.
Am I missing something? Is there any way to do this?
Thanks!

There isn't a Suspend Motion button, but you could make a config that had all axes disabled. You may have to set this in the config with notepad since I don't think we allow you to turn all axes off in the GUI. If you try to turn off both Translations and Rotations, we turn the other set back on. This is just a GUI convenience though. There is nothing in the driver that prevents you from turning everything off.
