Spacenavigator installation issues

Post by d.desorme »

Hi i need heelp with the installation of the drivers for the spacenavigator. I run windows vista 64 bit. When I try installing it, it first says there is an error 1935 and then error 1603. I've tried shuting down my internet connection during the installation as well as my antivirus and firewall (I use avast and the windows stuff). I also run the setup as administrator, but when the installation is over (after saying to continue and ignore the error), the device does not work. I tried using the trainer and it does not find any drivers installed. However, the blue LED on the device does light up. In the window for the error 1603 it says that 3Dconnexion 3DxWare (x64) installation failed. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem and how to solve it?

Thanks,
David

Hello David,

another user had these error numbers, too. He posted a solution that helped him. Perhaps this helps in your case, too?

If this is not the case please post the whole messages that we can see what exactly is blocking the installation to proceed.

Another thing to try is to do a full clean uninstall before you give it a new try. Is this a new installation of 3DxSoftware or are you updating?

I have the exact same error messages that he had and I tried his solution, but it did not work. The same error messages keep appearing. Again, I disabled my firewall and antivirus so nothing would interfere with the installation, but nothing seems to work. It is the first time I install the software so it is not because of an older version that these problems are happening. Anyways, I really hope this problem will be solved soon. Any ideas regarding this post would be appreciated.

I suggest you create a logfile of the installation. See here how to do that. Then please put all files that were created in a zip archive and send it to the email address that I will send you in a PM. Please post here that you sent the logs.

I just emailed you a screenshot of what I entered in the command prompt to do the log files, but for some reason it did not work. Please help.
