Spacepilot with Solidworks 2011

Post by jalcad »

I'm trying to use my Spacepilot with SW 2011 beta and none of the mapped buttons will work with it. I updated the driver to 3.11 to see if that would help but still no mapped buttons. They do work with 2010 however. This is on Windows Vista 64bit. Did SW change the button interface AGAIN for 2011.

Sorry, but SolidWorks 2011 is not yet released. We only support final release versions.

I realize 2011 is not released but sure would be helpful if you knew about this issue while beta testing 2011. Then when IT IS RELEASED my Spacepilot will function as it currently does in 2010 without any problems.

Now that Solidworks 2011 has been released, how soon will you have an updated driver that will work with it. Very frustrating trying to use something that doesn't work.

Hi jalcad,

our beta 3.12.1 (and higher) includes support for SolidWorks 2011. You can download it from our 3DxLabs site here.
