SpaceTraveler 3

Post by Barbara »

As previous posts have mentioned, the final the SpaceTaveler [Rel 3.7.22] can be used in Windows 7. This forum thread lists the steps need to use the XP drivers in Windows 7. The device discussed in this thread is the Spaceball5000 which uses the same 3.7.22 XP driver as the SpaceTraveler, so you can expect similar results.

Unsupported does not imply 'unusable'- thus the suggestions to try the driver in Windows 7.

My company got very upset that our spacetraveler3's needed to be replaced with basically an identical product. That is just greedy.
So we switched to ************. Some like it better, some didn't. They bent over backwards for us... Some would come back to 3Dconnexion if they ever make this right.
Good idea about making the driver open source! A lot of us got to take the old spacetraveler's home. Mine's sleeping in it's cased waiting for 64-bit drivers for windows 7...
