Win7 x64's Photoshop CS3 keeps asking to assign shortcut

Post by stephanpark »

This has become an irritant and I don't think it is normal.
I've just built out my 3D modelling rig and installled my glowing nipple...but Photoshop insists I assign a "3DxPhotoshop" keyboard shortcut. Problem is, I have...5 times. No more I tell you, no more.

So, for my sense of order and all things right in the world, I request help in killing this popup message from ever tormenting me again.

Possible suspects?
1. SpaceNavigator software version 3.11.3
2. Photoshop CS3 (10.0.1)
3. Windows 7 64bit
4. Satan
5. Carma
Ignore the last two.

Love,
man-with-OCD
p.s. And for future searches, a transcoded message from 3Dconnexion that I have come to hate.
3Dconnexion 3DxPhotoshop
No keyboard shortcut is assigned for 3DxPhotoshop
Please set a shortcut key for the "3DxPhotoshop" plug-in by following these steps

Hi stephanpark,

this sounds like a permission issue. Maybe it helps if you once start CS3 as Administrator, do the shortcut assignment and then stop CS3 and start it as usual?

But I am God!

I'm the only user account on the system. If there is an invisible one, I can't switch to it. But in file permissions I can clearly see my user account and an administrator...

You know, never mind. I'd like the world to be exactly as laid down by Mice and Men but life ain't given to agree. So I'm just going to remove the plugin via "Modify" on the installed driver and just move on.

Problem solved.
